Mr Olusina Opeolu MD/CEO
As the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Olusina Opeolu is responsible for providing overall leadership and strategic direction for “Goldlink” – focusing on business growth, profitability, and market competitiveness. He ensures the effective and efficient day to day management of the Company towards the actualisation of set goals and objectives – both in the short and long terms – in line with the vision of the Board and the Company’s Mission Statement.
“Ope” as he is fondly called by friends and colleagues is a Biochemistry graduate of the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University). He started his insurance career in 1996 when he joined “Goldlink” as a “Trainee”. Ope’s acumen and professional sagacity was quickly recognized and this earned him a rapid rise within the Organisation to managerial level.
His strong leadership abilities, sound analytical and communication skills as well as being well-grounded in policy administration, risks management and client relationship building saw him serve the Organisation excellently in several key positions particularly as Head of Claims – where he earned industry-wide recognition as an astute underwriter and a sound claims administrator – and later in Management as Head of Technical Operations.
He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria and also holds a MBA in Financial Management. He has attended several professional training courses both locally and abroad. Purpose driven, focused and with a mind-set for success, he has steered the Company in the path of a very steady growth since he settled into the role of the Chief Executive Officer in September, 2021.
